EoS Fitness Opens Hyrox Training Spaces to Members in Arizona and California

  • EoS Fitness, a low-cost national gym chain, is rolling out official Hyrox training spaces at 25 U.S. locations this fall, starting with gyms in Chandler, Arizona, and San Diego, California.
  • Select EoS gyms will get dedicated Hyrox Training Club areas with the sport’s official race equipment, while members on the top membership tier gain instructor-led Hyrox classes and early access to U.S. races.
  • The deal is part of a bigger push by Hyrox to put race training inside everyday gyms, following earlier partnerships with Orangetheory, F45, World Gym, and Peloton.

Race Training Is Moving Into the Gym You Already Belong To

For most people who want to try Hyrox, the hardest part has never been the eight-kilometer run or the eight stations of sled pushes, wall balls, and burpee broad jumps in between. It has been finding somewhere to practice them. A new deal between Hyrox and EoS Fitness, a budget-friendly gym chain with locations across the country, is designed to close that gap for members who already have a membership card in their wallet and no idea where to start.

Beginning this fall, EoS will roll out Hyrox training at 25 U.S. gyms, starting with locations in Chandler, Arizona, and San Diego, California, before expanding to more markets. The move pairs in-gym training environments with Hyrox Training+ content inside the EoS mobile app, a combination the two companies say makes EoS the first gym chain in the world to offer that level of built-in Hyrox programming.

What Members Will Actually Find on the Gym Floor

Some EoS locations will get a dedicated Hyrox Training Club space outfitted with Centr equipment, the brand’s official race gear. Other gyms in the network will add training areas built around sleds, wall balls, SkiErgs, rowers, and the other tools used to rebuild race stations inside a regular gym. Later this year, members on EoS’s top-tier Will Power membership will also get access to instructor-led Hyrox classes with official and custom programming, Hyrox training plans built into the EoS app, and early access to U.S. race registration.

EoS also plans to run Hyrox simulation events at its gyms, giving members a chance to test a full race effort without traveling to an official event or paying an entry fee. That detail counts for anyone who has watched a Hyrox race online and wondered if they could actually finish one. A simulation lets a first-timer find out inside a gym they already know, surrounded by people they already train next to, rather than showing up cold to a convention center full of strangers.

A Bet on a Fast-Growing Race

“Hyrox has ignited a global movement around strength, endurance and the drive to push beyond what you thought possible,” EoS Fitness chief marketing officer Shilpi Sullivan said in a statement announcing the partnership. “At EoS, when we commit to something, we go all in, and this partnership is no exception.” EoS is also extending its support outside its own gyms. The company will serve as title sponsor of the 2027 Hyrox San Diego race, and its San Diego Sports Arena location will convert into a full Hyrox Training Club, giving local competitors a dedicated hub to prepare for that event.

Hyrox chief growth officer Douglas Gremmen said the reach of the EoS network is central to the appeal of the deal. “By partnering with EoS Fitness, we are bringing official Hyrox training environments, equipment and digital programming to hundreds of thousands of gym-goers,” Gremmen said. “This collaboration significantly expands our U.S. footprint and makes training for a Hyrox race more accessible than ever before.” Gremmen has said previously that Hyrox’s long-term goal is for its training format to become as familiar a gym offering as a yoga or HIIT class, available in nearly any facility rather than reserved for specialty studios.

Part of a Wider Push Into Gyms of Every Size

The EoS deal builds on a string of similar moves. Hyrox has already struck partnerships with Orangetheory Fitness, F45 Training, and World Gym, and Peloton became its official digital training partner earlier this year. In April, an agreement with the gym management platform Wodify brought official Hyrox programming to independent boxes and studios, reaching a network Wodify put at more than 15,000 affiliated gyms worldwide at the time. Where Hyrox’s push into Utah introduced the sport to an entirely new state, the EoS partnership works from the other direction, aiming at one of the largest low-cost gym operators in the country rather than a single new market.

That distinction counts for who actually gets to try the sport. Boutique studios and CrossFit-style affiliates have led much of the Hyrox training boom so far, often at membership prices well above a budget gym. EoS built its business on the opposite model, competing on low monthly dues and a large number of locations. Bringing Hyrox equipment and coaching into that kind of gym puts race training in front of members who might never have set foot in a dedicated functional fitness studio, at a price point closer to what a typical gym membership already costs.

What to Watch This Fall

EoS and Hyrox have not released a full list of the 25 participating gyms, and both companies say more locations and launch events will be announced in the coming months. For now, the clearest signal of what is coming sits in Chandler and San Diego, where members will be the first to walk in and find sleds and SkiErgs where treadmills used to be. Hyrox says more than 1.6 million people took part in a race worldwide this year, a number that keeps climbing as more gyms give everyday members a place to prepare. Whether that growth reaches a wider, more budget-conscious crowd depends on how deals like this one play out at gyms most people already belong to.
